New York State’s Official Health Plan Marketplace, NY State of Health, can help you shop, compare and enroll in a plan designed to meet your benefit needs and budget.  The program can also provide financial assistance  based on your income, to lower costs even more.  They also provide free enrollment assistance.

Navigators can provide enrollment assistance to individuals, families, small businesses and their employees who would like help applying for health insurance through the Marketplace. 

 

Health insurance options for children

New York State has a health insurance plan for kids, called Child Health Plus. Depending on your family's income, your child may be eligible to join either Children's Medicaid or Child Health Plus. NYS Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP)

CDPAP allows individuals on Medicaid who are chronically ill or physically disabled to receive home care services, including help with daily living activities or skilled nursing services.  Qualified individuals can choose their own caregivers (family/friend), allowing the patient to be cared for by someone they know while remaining in their home. Medicine Assistance Tool (“MAT”)

The MAT (Medicine Assistance Tool) is a search engine that enables patients to search for manufacturer resources and cost-sharing programs that may help offset the cost of not only clotting factor but other medications patients may be prescribed.
